My name is Sheila Fagan and I am the FPAT Chairman. My husband Steve and I have been married since 1997. We have an adult daughter and two adopted children.
I was never able to have biological children and felt that God’s plan for me was to help others with their children. We went to dinner one night and a table tent was sitting in the middle of our table, looking for foster parents so I contacted TFI. We are licensed for up to 4 children, ages 0 to 18, and have been foster parents for 10 years. We have had 60 children placed in our home and are currently focusing on teens. I enjoy helping teens grow into adulthood, prepare for college and find their passions in life. My goal is to teach children that they are not defined by the worst thing that has happened to them. We can all choose our own path in life and reset when needed. We all need to have compassion, learn to compromise, and to care for ourselves.
I am a full-time wife and mother, have a full-time job working in the travel insurance industry, and have a side hustle with ColorStreet. I work hard to support my passion, foster care. My dream is to one day be able to focus full time on helping children succeed in life. In my spare time, I love to attend my children’s sporting events (baseball, football, wrestling), school functions (show choir, plays, FBLA, dances), and spending time with family.
