Leslie is from Independence, Kansas and has been a foster parent since 2014. She is a quiet soul with a big heart. Leslie has fostered more than 25 children and adopted four teen boys and one toddler.
Leslie possesses a unique ability to connect with each child she fosters. In 2019, she began fostering a child that does not connect with many people. Over time, Leslie has bonded and built a strong relationship with the youth. The youth calls her “momma.” When the child was adopted, Leslie reached out and continuously maintained contact with the adopted family to make sure she could assist throughout the transition. Unfortunately, the adoption did not work out, and Leslie immediately flew to where the child was and brought them home with her.
Leslie loves adventuring, exploring and encouraging the best in all that the kids do. TFI is blessed to have Leslie and will always consider her a part of the family.
