At Pathway Family Services (PFS), we take this opportunity to celebrate our hardworking team of social workers, case managers, administrators and support staff who work tirelessly to ensure safety, stability and hope for the children in their care. This year, we’re shining a spotlight on Hailey Medina, a remarkable youth care worker whose compassion and dedication inspire us all.
Hailey’s Journey Into Child Welfare
A deep sense of purpose drove Hailey’s path to becoming a youth care worker. Growing up, Hailey always had a natural ability to connect with children, serving as a babysitter and caregiver. However, her decision to join the world of child welfare was influenced by her cousin, who works with TFI and shared stories about the meaningful difference one person can make in a child’s life. Hailey officially joined the TFI team in April 2025, and since then, she’s felt that this is exactly where she’s meant to be. Despite the challenges that come with the job, Hailey describes her experience as simply amazing and deeply fulfilling.

The heartfelt messages the children shared and their affectionate nickname for her, “Ma,” deeply moved her.
