Growing nonprofit helps maximize the mission of charitable organizations

Topeka, KS – Mainstream Nonprofit Solutions, Inc. (MNS) is thrilled to announce Denise Gibson as the new Director of Learning and Development.

Gibson joins the Training Unit of the MNS Human Resources Department and brings a long history of experience with nonprofit organizations. In her new position, she will lead the agency in the design, development and implementation of staff development for all four states.

Prior to this new role, Gibson served as the Director of National Programs for the Children’s Alliance of Kansas for 17 years. She worked with many states, agencies and tribal communities across the U.S. and Nicaragua. She provided training and consultation services to help strengthen their model of practice in recruiting, training and supporting foster and adoptive families.

“My passion for children and families has driven my work. I began my career as a case manager and decided I enjoyed helping other people find that same passion. Over the years, I have served on numerous statewide workgroups that focused on strengthening the services in child welfare.,” said Gibson when asked about her experience in child welfare.

As the Director of Learning and Development, Gibson oversees coordinating the organization’s training to support the policies, goals and objectives. This helps ensure staff are properly trained to accomplish their duties and responsibilities and meet regular training requirements.
Gibson received both a bachelor’s and Masters in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas.
