TFI 2INgage to begin providing much-needed, essential prevention services to Texas families
Abilene, TX – Texas Family Initiative (TFI) 2INgage, the Single Source Continuum Contractor (SSCC) for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Texoma and Big Country (Region 2) is pleased to announce it was awarded a contract to pilot Texas Family First in Region 2.
TFI 2INgage’s will partner with Child Protective Services (CPS) Texas Family First staff to incorporate the following evidence-based models: Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to support Texas families by giving them the tools to remain safely intact and help keep children from entering the foster care system.
“This opportunity will provide well-supported evidence-based model(s) that provide family preservation services that prevent placing children in out of home foster care by keeping them safe with family.” said Dr. Linda Garcia, Senior Vice President of 2INgage.
TFI 2INgage already plays an integral part of the child welfare system in Texas as a Community-Based Care Organization (CBC). CBC is a resourceful and innovative way to provide services than traditional foster care because it gives local communities the flexibility to draw on local strengths and resources and find new ways to meet the unique and individual needs of children and their families. Through our partnership with DFPS, TFI 2INgage is committed to serving its community’s children, youth and their family member so they may realize safety, stability and overall well-being.
