Independence, KS – TFI is pleased to announce Shayna Duncan as a new Director of Permanency Services.

Duncan has more than 11 years of experience in child welfare. Prior to serving as the new Director of Permanency Services, Duncan was a supervisor with TFI. She has spent the entirety of her career committed to maintaining children together with their families, while ensuring they are provided a safe and nurturing environment.

“With Shayna’s extensive experience in permanency and kinship work, we are confident she will continue to provide valuable support and insight to the TFI permanency staff. We are excited to see how she flourishes in this new role,” said Shaileen Owens, TFI Vice President of Permanency Services.

As the Director of Permanency Services, Duncan will be responsible for overseeing case management services for Kansas children in Montgomery and Chautauqua counties.

Duncan received her bachelor’s from Wichita State University in 2009 and went on to earn a Master of Social Work from Wichita State University in 2019.
