Recruitment Corner

March is another great month for recruiting new foster parents! Here are some highlights:

Kansas

In Kansas, our recruiters are holding Coffee Conversations, meeting with local churches, stocking teacher’s lounges for St. Patrick’s Day and planning Easter Egg Hunts

Oklahoma

In Oklahoma, our new recruiter is collaborating with Tribes, other agencies and DHS in sharing the need for more foster homes. He has scheduled Chamber Networking, Parent Conferences, Pastor’s Conferences and Kids Fest to talk with others about opening their homes or supplying various needs for our foster families. We hold radio interviews at Stillwater Radio in Oklahoma and we would love to have some of our Oklahoma foster families do an interview. Please contact your foster care worker if you are interested!

Texas

In Texas, we are busy blitzing counties with high intakes to respond to the need for more foster homes. Our Texas recruiter will be at Clay County Foster Forum and Wichita Falls Farmer’s Market later this month to talk with anyone interested. Grab a friend and join our recruiters as we seek to strengthen children and families in our local communities.

Our current foster parents are our most effective recruiters! Let us know how we can support you and set up meetings with your contacts. We are in this for our foster parents and for families and children.
