Successful golf fundraiser benefits children and youth in the Pittsburg area
TFI hosted its annual Pittsburg golf tournament at Crestwood Country Club on April 12, 2024, with Watco as the title sponsor.
Alongside the title sponsor, TFI thanks Diamond Pet Food, Crossland Construction, Mike Carpino, Kirkland Welding Supplies, Mitchell and Ashley King, Monarch Cement Company, MPIX, and Community National Bank & Trust, who showed their support for kids in foster care in Southeast Kansas through this special event.
Tabitha Gibson, Senior Vice President of Permanency Services, TFI, spoke at the event and is elated to share her thoughts post-event. “We want to thank the golfers who came out to enjoy a beautiful day on the course at Crestwood Country Club for the tournament,” said Gibson. “The weather was nearly perfect, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have had a fun day of golf on a beautiful course and to bring attention to our work during Child Abuse Prevention Month.”
Looking forward to next year, TFI is eager to build upon the foundation laid this year and expand the reach of this fundraiser further. With each tournament, the TFI staff forges ahead with boundless optimism and determination to remain devoted to the strength of family.
In Fiscal Year 2023, TFI served more than 6,227 children in prevention, foster care, adoption, and residential services. TFI is actively recruiting foster families to provide a loving, caring home to children in foster care.
